Westgate Superbook NJ review – what to expect?

Rumor has it that Westgate Superbook NJ could launch soon.

The brand is known among sports bettors in the US as an industry giant. Their brick and mortar facility is, to say the least, impressive. The Superbook physical space offers “360 degrees experience” with a 220-foot long wall, filled with 4K TV screens, indeed quite unique country-wise.

But that’s not all. The Westgate Superbook online platform and the Superbook mobile app are highly successful projects too. For decades their presence has been exclusive to Nevada. This is about to change with the rumors about Westgate Superbook NJ branch.

And it might be a bit more than rumors. We know that the Westgate Superbook is planning an expansion east. And the head of the Superbook, Jay Kornegay was impressed with NJ generating more revenue from sports betting than NV in May. So it’s likely that the next step will be New Jersey indeed.

How did it happen? The state of New Jersey had challenged Nevada-held monopoly on sports betting. In June 2018 the Supreme Court struck down a piece of legislation upholding this monopoly, the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act. It opened the doors for each state to regulate their own sports betting industry. New Jersey was ready, and just within days from the ruling, first sports bets were placed in the Garden State. Now, NJ Online Sports Betting is completely legal.

Sports betting online has been legal in New Jersey ever since. Each new operator needs to get licensed by the state Division of Gaming Enforcement. According to the information on the state government website, Westgate Sportsbook NJ is not licensed yet. But based on their Nevada operation we can make a number of predictions of what to expect once Superbook sportsbook NJ becomes reality.

The layout of the app is very clear, navigating between different types of sports and bets is intuitive. Elegant, simple colors – black, white, yellow – make it even easier to read the content. The software runs without glitches. However, for now, it is still limited to players physically in Nevada, and of course at least 21 years old.

What sports can you bet on?

Westgate Superbook brags about largest wagering menu in Nevada. It covers most sports and offers a crazy amount of props bets around them. You will find football, basketball, hockey, baseball, soccer, golf, tennis, car racing, and horse racing, UFC, rugby.

Each sport will be divided into various types of bets. For example, in the case of baseball, you can wager alternate run line, first five full innings, world series futures, most home runs and much more.

On your betting slip you will find different types of bets: straight, parlay, round robin, teaser.

Westgate Superbook NJ payment methods

At Westgate sportsbook in Nevada, the only payment option is in person, at the physical location of the sportsbook in Las Vegas. It’s not that weird for Nevada-based sportsbooks. However, in New Jersey’s booming sports betting market, the payment methods standards have been shaping differently. Most online sportsbooks offer online payment methods.

It makes sense to assume that once Superbook sportsbook NJ goes live, players will be able to make online deposits and withdrawals, using their credit cards, bank transfers or Paypal.

Westgate sportsbook NJ – our hopes

We hope that the wide selection of wagers will arrive to New Jersey together with the Superbook and adapt to the new market. However, it wouldn’t hurt if the launch of the Westgate sportsbook NJ would be accompanied by welcome bonuses and attractive promotions. Also, if the Superbook sportsbook NJ wants to count, they will have to adopt online registration and payment options. Otherwise, the growing competition will have an advantage, even if it’s not as rich in experience and betting options as the Westgate Superbook.
